Widely credited with popularizing the melodica in reggae, Pablo was a talented musician and an innovative producer who became an early dub pioneer. Now regarded as classics, his 1970s recordings were part of the remarkable creative surge that vaulted the Jamaican music scene to international prominence. Much of this material was released by Rockers, a record label founded by Pablo and named after his popular Kingston sound system. Now, Nature Sounds is unveiling Roots, Rockers, & Dub, a new Augustus Pablo collection celebrating the 50th anniversary of Rockers. Featuring classic dubs along with rare and out-of-print tracks, the album highlights a wealth of Rockersmaterial spanning Pablo's entire career, packaged in a gatefold jacket with new liner notes co-written by his son Addis Pablo. Fully remastered and released in partnership with the Pablo family, Roots, Rockers, & Dub is a fitting tribute to an artist whose music still reverberates heavily more than two decades after his passing.

Addis Pablo is a melodica player and composer from Jamaica. The son of the legendary Augustus Pablo, Addis and his sister Isis carry on their father’s musical heritage being in charge of his Fathers Estate, creating events such as the Augustus Pablo Tribute in Jamaica and contemporary art exhibits by Isis in Japan. Addis following in his fathers footsteps has been producing his own music since 2008 and touring globally for 6 years, his debut album titled “In His Father’s House” was released in 2014 and was received worldwide with high ratings. Some of the his other projects include Suns of Dub x Walshy Fire Major Lazer Mixtape (2013), Sizzla x Suns Of Dub “Jah Jah Solve Dem” (2014), and Suns of Dub “Far East Mixtape” with Mighty Crown (2015), and his most recent projects “Majestic Melodies” mixtape (2017) and the Majestic Melodies Ep (2018) Recent highlights include Addis Pablo selling out the Jazz Cafe in London in April of 2018. In June of this year, Addis and his sister Isis Swaby paid tribute to Pablo at the Apple Store in Williamsburg Brooklyn with a DJ Set by Isis and performance by Addis. Addis also performed at the Ganja Fest in Negril earlier this year and released Majestic Melodies EP, King Alpha, and Queen Omega Dub EP.
